WORKSHOP
DAVID BECKER Workshop
November 18-20, 2024
Kentucky Museum of Arts and Crafts · KMAC
715 W Main St, Louisville, KY 40202
The Kentucky Watercolor Society will facilitate a workshop with David Becker at the Kentucky Museum of Arts and Crafts (KMAC) in Louisville, KY in coordination with its annual AQUEOUS USA National Exhibition running from November 15th through January 26.
David's 3-day workshop uses transparent and opaque watercolor and guache together. Students will be learning about traditional watercolor and how to use them together with various techniques.
There will be times we use the guache in a transparent watercolor way and at times we will be using it thick; like acrylics and oils. You will learn how to use these two mediums together to create a different style and technique. Each day we do an exercise in the morning and start another in the afternoon to go over many different aspects of each medium. Each class and exercise builds on the previous assignment which helps you learn all that David wants you to take away from this class. He will supply the Gouache paint, images, and transfer paper. A supply list is included.
Workshop cost: $325 for KWS Members; $375 for Nonmembers.
THE WORKSHOP IS FULL. SIGN UP FOR THE WAITLIST
