BRUSH WITH NATURE
Painting with our KWS plein air group, “Brush with Nature,” is a great way to connect with nature, relieve stress, get inspiration, make new friends, and have some fun! During the cold weather we have combined with the general KWS membership the first Tuesday of each month from 10am to 12:30pm to paint a live model or have a demo at the St Matthews library and have met as the plein air group the 3rd Tuesday of each month at various locations for quick sketching/painting at the Mall St Matthews, for still life painting at a member’s activities room, and at an artist coop studio to paint a live model.
We plan to begin our outdoor painting sessions in May. Past painting locations have included WhiteHall Historic Home, Papa Johns Park at Yum Headquarters, Bardstown, Farmington, Locust Grove, Captain’s Quarters Restaurant, a friend’s property in Finchville, Moss Gibbs Woodlawn Garden and Beckley Creek and Turkey Run Park in the Parklands, Bernheim Forest, the Gardens at Ray Eden and Anchorage.
