Dongfeng li

Dongfeng Li is an award-winning painter and member of AWS(D.F.) and NWS. He teaches painting and watercolor at Morehead State University. He is an internationally renowned artist and has conducted many workshops and teaching tours nationally and internationally, including several in Florida, Kentucky, Missouri, Ohio and China. He has been a first place winner many times nationally and internationally, including the Transparent Watercolor Society of America and also several times in the Kentucky Watercolor’s Aqueous USA Exhibition

Previous prizes annually have averaged $8,000 in cash and materials.

SIGNATURE MEMBERSHIP :

Artist Signature Membership is given to a KWS member who has been accepted into three Aqueous exhibitions while maintaining continuous membership without lapse.

All KWS Signature members are eligible for the KWS Signature Artist Award.

DongFeng LI Workshop

Dongfeng Li, our 2023 Aqueous USA juror will be teaching a 3-day workshop at the Preston’s Arts Center located in the Henderson Community College on the main campus in Henderson, Ky. In the first few days, he will be sharing his techniques for painting his beautiful portraits. We will paint from photographs and you can bring sketches or pictures of your choice to paint. We will emphasize the painting instead of spending the day sketching. On the last day, we will paint a landscape of your choice. He will also share some of his photos for students to practice.
